Everrati to electrify classic Land Rover models

20 Sep 2022

British electromod specialist Everrati is to partner with engineering company Hobson Industries limited to create electrified Land Rover models.

Oxfordshire-based firm Everrati currently restores and electrifies a selection of classic cars, swapping out the combustion engine for an electric vehicle powertrain.

Hobson Industries was established by Peter Hobson in 1987 and offers through-life support for heritage Land Rover models, from supplying parts to vehicle restoration.

The engineering firm will use electric powertrains from Everrarti’s new division, Everrati Advanced Technologies (EAT), which was created to help other specialist and luxury car brands electrify their own models.

The electrified Land Rover’s developed by the two companies will be used for security and defence projects.

Everatti is familiar with electrifying Land Rover models as the firm offers its own electrified Land Rover Series IIA. The Everrati off-roader has a 60kWh battery and an output of 112kW of power.

“Everrati Advanced Technologies is expertly placed to support the transition of these older vehicles to a clean and sustainable future,” said Everrati founder and CEO, Justin Lunny.

“The combination of Hobson Industries’ unparalleled reputation – and its connections to the security and defence sectors – with EAT’s state-of-the-art EV propulsion systems is unique.”
