HumanForest partners with Uber Eats to boost sustainable deliveries

1 Mar 2023

London-based mobility firm HumanForest has partnered with fast-food app Uber Eats, to give delivery riders full access to the HumanForest eBike and eMoped fleet.

HumanForest launched its e-bike rental scheme in 2021, before expanding its operations last year with the introduction of its eMoped trial. More than 200 electric mopeds are available to rent in the capital.

Uber Eats has become HumanForest’s first eMoped delivery partner, with couriers who use the e-mopeds eligible for a 10% discount on rides. HumanForest says this will allow couriers to ride for as little as £2.25 per hour.

HumanForest: the e-bike firm aiming to turn London green

The partnership is also the first e-moped deal in London for Uber Eats, and forms part of the firm’s scheme to target couriers who need to replace their current moped in the next six months.

The partnership is also aiming to provide a “one-stop solution” to couriers, while also encouraging them to adopt more “sustainable travel behaviour.”

Couriers who use the Uber Eats app can also benefit from discounts to HumanForests’ eBike fleet, receiving a discount of up to a 90% on the standard 19p per minute rate.

“HumanForest is proud to partner with Uber Eats to support the adoption of sustainable travel amongst couriers,” said Charlotte Pepperell, interim head of partnerships at HumanForest.

“Quick commerce and food delivery are an integral part of city living. Given the importance of reducing travel emissions in urban areas, it is clear that partnerships such as this will be crucial in achieving London’s Net Zero Carbon by 2030.”
